QA Engineer

About Role:

We are looking for a detail oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with development, product, and project teams to test, identify, and resolve issues, helping deliver high-quality software to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and/or backend applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Ensure proper test coverage of features, releases, and regression testing.
• Maintain and improve test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and checklists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing as needed.
• Report testing results, metrics, and insights to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–4 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with manual testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Basic knowledge of automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with mobile app testing (iOS, Android) or web applications.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Odoo or SaaS products.
• QA certification (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.).
• Experience in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
