QA Engineer

Job Summary:
Job Description – QA Engineer (4–6 Years Experience)Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing for new features and critical user flows across web and mobile platforms.
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory, UAT) with minimal supervision.
• Design, develop, and execute test automation scripts using frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
• Log, track, and prioritize defects in tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers for timely resolution.
• Create, maintain, and review test cases, test plans, and test reports ensuring high test coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint deliverables.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Mentor junior QA engineers and interns, sharing best practices and driving quality culture within the team.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of hands-on QA experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript) with proven experience in test automation.
• Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle, QA methodologies, and API/web services testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab) and test management tools.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Experience in testing e-commerce platforms or large-scale web applications.
• Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Locust) or security testing tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in the context of QA.
• Contribution to building/optimizing QA frameworks and processes.
