QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities


Test Planning & Strategy

  • Ability to design test strategies, analyze requirements, and ensure coverage

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute testing strategies and plans

Test design & Execution Test

  • Work closely with product owners, product definition analysts, and developers to identify testing areas as early as the design phase

  • Create and execute test cases based on specifications and customer requirements

  • Perform functional, regression, and integration tests

  • Prepare test environments and data.

  • Configuring and executing on CI/CD pipelines

  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and defect reports

  • Work with the Agile team to identify and diagnose the root causes of defects

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools, CI/CD practices, and frameworks

  • Develop and maintain automated tests and testing framework using Java with Selenium and Playwright.

  • Good working knowledge of API Testing using REST Assured libraries

  • Good working knowledge of Azure technologies and monitoring tools like Splunk and Kibana.

  • Act as an ambassador for test automation and shift-left testing

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes

Experience:

7- 9 years of experience is must.


**About the ideal candidate**


To succeed in your new role, you are required to have relevant experience in the following areas:
  • Previous work experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or another object-oriented programming language, with willingness to learn Java.
  • Experience writing test automation with Playwright or Selenium | REST Assured
  • Experience with test management tools and documentation tools, such as Spira, JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience working in an Agile self-managed team
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products
  • Experience with tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions to implement testing within the CI cycle would be considered an advantage
  • Shows traits of going beyond the role, in terms of knowledge, innovations and other attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
