We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team at Brackets. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. The role requires a strong understanding of the software development life cycle, testing methodologies, and Agile processes, such as Scrum and Kanban. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience in designing sprints and familiarity with project management tools such as ClickUp and JIRA.

Key Responsibilities

● Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

● Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.

● Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing on web and mobile applications.

● Identify, document, and report bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.

● Review and analyze test results, ensuring defects are correctly fixed and validated.

● Maintain and update test plans, test scripts, and test cases.

● Design and manage sprints for QA tasks, ensuring alignment with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

● Ensure testing processes are aligned with sprint cycles and project timelines.

● Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to work effectively within these models.

● Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp, JIRA, or similar tools to track and report issues, manage sprints, and maintain workflows.

● Continuously improve testing processes by exploring and implementing new tools and technologies.

● Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.

● Participate in planning meetings, code reviews, and stand-up meetings to provide feedback and advocate for quality.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Project Managers, and Product Owners) to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality software.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Proven experience as a QA Engineer, QA Analyst, or similar role in software testing.

● Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

● Experience with both manual and automated testing (Selenium, JMeter, or similar tools).

● Hands-on experience with testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.

● Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

● Ability to design and manage sprints for QA tasks.

● Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp, JIRA, or Trello.

● Knowledge of database testing (SQL) and performance testing tools.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

● Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

● Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
