QA Engineer / Manual Software Tester

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail‑oriented QA Engineer / Manual Software Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and usability of our web‑based knowledge and Q&A platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in manual testing, bug reporting, and quality assurance processes, ensuring applications meet functional and usability standards before release.

This role is onsite in Lahore and best suited for candidates who enjoy hands‑on testing, collaboration with developers, and improving product quality.

Key ResponsibilitiesManual Software Testing

• Perform manual testing of web applications to identify functional, UI, and usability issues
• Execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements
• Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and feature enhancements
• Test applications across multiple browsers and devices to ensure compatibility

Defect Management & Collaboration

• Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, Trello, or ClickUp
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce, verify, and close bugs
• Validate requirements and ensure features meet acceptance criteria
• Assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and pre‑release validation

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare clear test reports and bug documentation
• Maintain structured QA documentation for future reference
• Provide feedback to improve product usability and performance

Must‑Have Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in manual QA / software testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC and basic Agile methodologies
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
• Ability to write clear and structured test cases and reports
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Must be Lahore‑based and available for onsite work

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman or similar tools)
• Understanding of SQL / database basics
• Exposure to automation testing tools (plus, not mandatory)
• ISTQB or other QA certifications (preferred, not required)

• Competitive salary package: PKR 60,000 – 70,000
• Office Timings: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM OR 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Candidate may choose one shift)
