Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience testing enterprise-grade web applications.
You’ll work closely with developers and product managers to ensure the WellWink platform meets the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and compliance.

This role involves both manual testing and the opportunity to contribute to automation frameworks as the QA function matures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and API components.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on the WellWink web application (Angular + Rails backend).
• Verify interoperability modules, including DirectTrust and EHR integrations, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Perform UI/UX testing to ensure consistent and responsive behavior across browsers and devices.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or ClickUp; work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning and provide QA estimates for upcoming features.
• Execute smoke and sanity tests during deployments and production rollouts.
• Maintain regression suites and contribute to automation scripts (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium).
• Support compliance testing and validation activities aligned with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in QA/testing of enterprise or SaaS web applications.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Experience in manual testing of web apps (UI + backend).
• Proficiency in API testing (Postman, Swagger, or similar tools).
• Experience writing SQL queries to validate backend data integrity (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser DevTools for debugging.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems (JIRA, Trello, or ClickUp).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred / Plus Skills

• Experience testing Ruby on Rails / Angular applications.
• Basic scripting knowledge for test automation (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or RSpec).
• Familiarity with FHIR / CCD / HL7 or healthcare interoperability standards.
• Exposure to HIPAA-compliant systems or secure data testing practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
