Job Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead and manage the entire Quality Assurance function across the company’s trading operations, fresh-cut production plants, and fresh juice manufacturing units. The role ensures strict adherence to food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications while driving continuous improvement and maintaining product integrity from supplier to customer.

This position plays a critical role in building a strong quality culture, developing high-performing QA teams, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant processing of fresh produce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. QA Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the company-wide Quality & Food Safety Strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead, train, and mentor QA teams across multiple sites and production facilities.
• Instill a consistent quality culture and ensure adherence to policies, SOPs, and best practices.

2. Quality Management Systems (QMS)

• Implement and maintain food safety certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, GMP.
• Oversee internal audits and effectively manage external, regulatory, and customer audits.
• Lead all Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) and manage deviations.

3. Operations Quality Control

• Develop, review, and enforce SOPs for receiving, handling, washing, cutting, packaging, storage, and transport of produce.
• Monitor quality compliance on the production floor for cut fruits, vegetables, and juice lines.
• Ensure proper CCP/OPRP monitoring and verification activities are performed.
• Ensure microbiological, chemical, and sensory testing meets safety standards.

4. Fresh Produce & Supplier Quality

• Lead supplier approval and farm audits for local and imported products.
• Develop vendor scorecards and manage supplier compliance to specifications.
• Ensure full traceability for all incoming produce and processed items.

5. Customer Quality Management

• Address customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure customer specifications are understood and met consistently across all sites.

6. Production Support & Continuous Improvement

• Support production teams in optimizing yield, reducing wastage, and improving process control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and data-driven analysis.
• Conduct shelf-life studies and validate new products or process changes.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain all quality records, reports, SOPs, audit findings, and training documentation.

Present monthly quality performance dashboards to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, Microbiology, or related fields.

• 8–12+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance within fresh produce or food processing industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or multi-site QA management role.
• Experience in fresh juice manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international food safety standards and local regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to travel across different facilities and supplier sites.
• Experience of dealing with stakeholders, and regulatory authorities for audits is a must.
• Valid UAE Driving License is a Must
• Must have good command of written and spoken English, Knowledge of spoken and written Arabic is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED21,000.00 per month
