QA Mechanical Engineer - (Oil & Gas)

Overview

Quality Assurance / Quality Control role focused on establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) across departments, conducting internal audits, and ensuring delivered outputs meet specifications. The role includes reporting on QMS performance to management, identifying and escalating potential quality issues, and coordinating with site QC teams to complete as-built documentation and related records.

Responsibilities

• Establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system of each department; ensuring QMS process maintenance
• Reporting to management on QMS performance of all departments
• Performing internal audits and communicating findings to concerned personnel for closure of NCR/CPAR
• Identify potential quality issues per defined processes and escalate to management
• Ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
• Control documents and records; distribute controlled documents to the concerned department as required
• Ensure quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates, and documentation for specific systems are prepared and collated per project requirements
• Prepare inspection and test plans (ITP), WPS, Work Procedures, and controlled formats per client requirements
• Coordinate with site QC in charge for completion of as-built documentation
• Attend QA/QC meetings and coordinate inconsistencies with test packages with field QC site inspectors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical experience required
• 4+ years' experience in a similar position
• Excellent communication skills (English)
• Ability to read and understand international codes & standards
• ISO 9001:2015 - Lead Auditor certificate
• ISO 14001:2015 or ISO 45001:2015 certificate
• Experience in internal audits as per QMS
