QA / QC Engineer

Job Title: QA/QC Engineer

Experience: 14+ years

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer with 14+ years of UAE site supervision experience to join one of our Supervision Projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring all project works for conformance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, and procedures manual.
• Implementing and maintaining the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with project and company requirements.
• Reviewing, approving, and processing QA/QC-related submittals including Method Statements, ITPs, and Checklists.
• Reviewing and responding to RFIs related to quality and compliance issues.
• Ensuring construction works comply with local authority requirements, international standards, and best practices.
• Coordinating and supervising QA/QC activities across all disciplines (Civil, Architectural, MEP as applicable).
• Reviewing contractor NCRs, corrective and preventive actions, and verifying close-out effectiveness.
• Reviewing contractor change order proposals and claims related to quality aspects and providing recommendations.
• Managing and supervising QA/QC Inspectors and ensuring inspections are properly conducted and documented.
• Reviewing contractor’s project record documents, test results, and as-built documentation relevant to quality.
• Assisting with inspection of completed works, snagging, de-snagging, and monitoring testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensuring final quality documentatio n  is complete prior to project handover.
• Signing off on completed works once compliance and documentation are verified.
• Performing all other duties related to the QA/QC role as required by the project.

Qualifications:

• Minimum  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering  or relevant engineering discipline
• Proven years of experience in QA/QC site supervision within Engineering Consultancy in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, construction materials, and inspection procedures
• Excellent knowledge of applicable codes, standards, specifications, and Authority requirements (ADM, Estidama, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of projects from start-up to final handover
• ISO 9001 certification or Internal Auditor certification is an advantage
