QA/ QC Engineer - Team leader (Real Estate)

Job Purpose

The QA Team Lead oversees quality assurance activities for multiple projects within a geographic area, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met throughout the construction or development cycle. The role acts as the central point of communication and decision-making for all quality-related matters across assigned projects.


Roles, Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Serve as the main liaison between the QA team, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  2. Ensure smooth communication to resolve quality-related issues or concerns promptly.
  3. Supervise all inspections conducted by the QA team on-site.
  4. Ensure inspections are thorough and that proper descriptions and documentation are completed.
  5. Ensure all requested inspections are completed within stipulated SLA timeframes.
  6. Identify key challenges and roadblocks in the quality management process and report them to higher management.
  7. Develop "Lessons Learned" reports based on findings and observations.
  8. Plan and manage resources to ensure quality inspections are adequately staffed and equipped.
  9. Attend weekly meetings with project teams to discuss quality issues or delays.
  10. Provide ongoing updates on quality performance, upcoming inspections, or audits.
  11. Highlight needs for additional third‑party specialists or subcontractors for specialized inspections.
  12. Coordinate scope of work and manage hiring of required third‑party contractors.
  13. Conduct internal audits twice during each project cycle to ensure compliance with standards, processes, and regulations.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.


Experience & Technical Skills (Required)

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/QC, inspection, or property handover in the UAE residential sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction finishing, MEP integration, and handover workflows.
  • Experience using snagging and project tracking tools.
  • Working knowledge of UAE building codes and quality standards.
