Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure all fabricated products meet both internal quality standards and relevant industry specifications, including UL 58 and UL 142. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control within a steel fabrication environment, with a focus on welding, material inspection, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and standards for the fabrication of fuel tanks, canopies, and miscellaneous steel works.
• Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Monitor all fabrication processes, including cutting, rolling, welding, surface preparation, and painting, to ensure compliance with quality control plans.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on all components and final products.
• Manage and maintain all quality control documentation, including inspection reports, material certificates, and test results.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients for product inspections and factory acceptance tests.
• Identify and report non-conformities, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and follow up to ensure their effective implementation.
• Provide training and guidance to fabrication staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Ensure the calibration of all measuring and testing equipment is up to date.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of fabrication processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-7 years of proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in a steel fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of international standards for steel fabrication, particularly welding codes and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Familiarity with UL 58 and UL 142 standards is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
