QA/QC Engineer

Overview:

Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L., a leader in the construction and design industry in Qatar, is seeking a meticulous and experienced QA/QC Engineer. This role is essential for maintaining the highest quality standards for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing quality assurance policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Planning:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Ensure projects adhere to all relevant legal standards, codes, and practices.

Inspection and Testing:

• Conduct regular site inspections and material testing to ensure construction meets all quality and performance standards.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of QA/QC activities, including inspections, tests, audits, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and present regular reports to management on quality assurance metrics and project progress.

Compliance and Certification:

• Ensure all materials, processes, and final products meet industry-specific standards and certification requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and inspectors to ensure ongoing compliance.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
• Initiate and implement improvements in all aspects of the quality process, aiming for an enhanced level of quality in all projects.

Training and Development:

• Conduct training sessions for project teams on quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest QA/QC best practices, standards, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using QA/QC software tools and applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Certification in quality control is highly preferred (e.g., ISO 9001, ASQ).
