QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities**

1. Quality Assurance (QA)

* Develop and implement **quality management systems (QMS)**.

* Prepare **Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)**, **Method Statements**, and **Quality Procedures**.

* Ensure compliance with **ISO standards** (e.g., ISO 9001).

* Conduct **internal quality audits** and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

* Train staff on quality standards and procedures.

2. Quality Control (QC)**

* Perform **material inspection**, **dimensional checks**, and **non-destructive testing (NDT)** as required.

* Review and approve **vendor documents**, **material test certificates (MTCs)**, and **welding procedures**.

* Monitor site activities to ensure work conforms to approved drawings and specifications.

* Prepare and maintain **inspection reports**, **punch lists**, and **quality records**.

* Witness tests and inspections at various project stages (e.g., concrete pouring, welding, coating, etc.).

**3. Required Skills**

* Strong understanding of **engineering drawings** and **technical specifications**.

* Knowledge of **ISO 9001**, **API**, **ASME**, or **ASTM** standards (depending on the industry).

* Familiarity with **QA/QC documentation** and **reporting systems**.

* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

* Good communication and leadership skills for coordinating between teams.

**4. Educational Background**

* **Bachelor’s degree** in:

* Mechanical Engineering

* Civil Engineering

* Electrical Engineering

* Industrial Engineering

(depending on the project type)

* QA/QC certifications (optional but valuable):

* **ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor**

* **ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)**

* **CSWIP / AWS** (for welding inspection)

* **NDT Level II or III**
