The
QA/QC Engineer
is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing the Quality Management System (QMS) on the project. This role ensures that all materials, workmanship, and construction processes strictly adhere to the project specifications, contractual requirements, and international quality standards, thereby preventing defects and ensuring final project integrity.
Quality Planning:
Develop and update the project's
Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
, Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and project-specific Quality Manuals.
Documentation Management:
Manage the entire quality documentation system, ensuring all records of inspections, tests, and certifications are tracked, approved, and auditable.
Inspection Coordination:
Coordinate and conduct inspections (Hold Points/Witness Points) with the Client's Representative or Third-Party Inspectors as required by the ITP.
Non-Conformity Management:
Issue, track, and manage
Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs)
, ensuring timely root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Materials Inspection:
Oversee the inspection and testing of all incoming construction materials to ensure they comply with specified quality standards and certifications.
Compliance:
Conduct internal audits of site activities to verify adherence to approved procedures, industry best practices, and ISO standards.
Experience:
Proven experience in a QA/QC role, typically requiring
5 to 10 years
of experience in managing quality on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
Technical Degree:
Mandatory Bachelor's degree in
Engineering
(Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
Standard Knowledge:
In-depth familiarity with relevant
ISO 9001
standards and industry-specific codes.
Testing & ITPs:
Expertise in developing, executing, and documenting
Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
and understanding material testing procedures.
Audit Skills:
Strong skills in performing
internal audits
and driving corrective action processes.
Documentation:
Exceptional organizational skills for maintaining a detailed, accurate, and readily available
Quality Management System
.
Experience:
Proven professional experience as a Document Controller, preferably in the
Construction or Engineering
industry.
Technical Proficiency:
Expert use of
Document Management Systems (DMS)
and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Organizational Skills:
Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on meticulous
record-keeping
and data integrity.
Attention to Detail:
High degree of
accuracy
to prevent errors in numbering, indexing, and revision control.
Communication:
Effective communication skills for coordination with project teams and external parties.
