QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure that all civil construction activities—including earthworks, reinforced concrete, structural elements, roadworks, and drainage—are executed in strict compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS), and local regulatory requirements (QCS, Ashghal, MMUP). This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring proactive quality oversight from mobilization through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Material Submittals for civil works.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections for formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, curing, backfilling, and compaction.
• Verify compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal standards, and client-specific requirements.
• Monitor and document material test results (slump tests, cube tests, soil compaction, etc.) in coordination with third-party labs.
• Issue, track, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and punch lists.
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QCs records including daily reports, MIRs, and inspection logs.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project engineers to uphold quality benchmarks.
• Support internal and external audits (including client and regulatory inspections).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in civil construction (infrastructure, buildings, or roads).
• Proven experience working on GCC-based projects, preferably in Qatar.
• Familiarity with Ashghal, MMUP, and QatarEnergy standards is highly desirable.
• Valid MMUP license (Grade B or higher) is a strong advantage.
• Certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Technician, ASTM, or ISO 9001 are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and testing procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC documentation systems.
• Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
