QA/QC Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for our metal industries operations, focusing on fencing-related projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with quality standards, supervise inspections, manage all QA/QC documentation, review technical drawings, and coordinate internally with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for metal works, especially fencing.
• Prepare, review, and manage ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) and submittals for client approval.
• Conduct inspection and testing of materials, welding, and installed works.
• Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up corrective actions.
• Manage material approvals, certificates of compliance, and supplier test certificates.
• Prepare and maintain method statements, welding/fabrication logs, and calibration records for measuring instruments.
• Maintain daily/weekly QA/QC reports and documentation for client and internal use.
• Review technical drawings and shop drawings, identify discrepancies, and provide comments to the drafting team.
• · Ensure all work complies with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• handle other related QA/QC tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in Qatar, preferably in metal fabrication and fencing works.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or other field from a recognized institution.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, submittals, NCRs, material approvals, method statements, technical drawings, calibration records, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ability to review technical/drafting drawings and provide detailed comments.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication skill in English
