Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with approved project quality plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on all civil activities such as concrete, rebar, formwork, excavation, compaction, asphalt works, etc.
- Coordinate with third-party labs for material testing and ensure reports are submitted on time.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and quality-related documentation.
- Conduct incoming material inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise and verify calibration of testing equipment and tools.
- Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
- Attend site meetings, quality reviews, and coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality issues.
- Maintain and organize quality records including inspection reports, test results, and site observations.
- Monitor the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and assist in internal audits.
- Assist in the preparation of final handover documentation and as-built records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a QA/QC role in the civil construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, testing, and relevant international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO, etc.).
- Familiar with quality management systems (ISO 9001).
- Experience with infrastructure, buildings, or heavy civil projects is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC software systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification such as ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or relevant QA/QC certifications is an advantage.
