Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor project-specific QA/QC procedures related to electrical works in accordance with the approved Quality Plan.
- Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems such as:
- Cable laying and termination
- Earthing and grounding systems
- Lighting systems
- MV/LV panels and switchgear
- Generators and transformers
- Fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems
- Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and material submittals for compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Supervise and witness FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and site testing such as insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing.
- Monitor calibration status of testing tools and equipment used in inspections.
- Issue and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for inspections and quality-related matters.
- Ensure electrical materials delivered to site meet approved specifications and are stored properly.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built documentation.
- Assist in internal and external quality audits.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on QA/QC issues and status.
- Support commissioning activities and final project handover.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in electrical works within construction or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in reviewing electrical shop drawings, ITPs, and material submittals.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, Electrical QA/QC Inspector) is an advantage.
