QA/QC Engineer – Electrical

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor project-specific QA/QC procedures related to electrical works in accordance with the approved Quality Plan.
• Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems such as:
• Cable laying and termination
• Earthing and grounding systems
• Lighting systems
• MV/LV panels and switchgear
• Generators and transformers
• Fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and material submittals for compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Supervise and witness FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and site testing such as insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing.
• Monitor calibration status of testing tools and equipment used in inspections.
• Issue and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for inspections and quality-related matters.
• Ensure electrical materials delivered to site meet approved specifications and are stored properly.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built documentation.
• Assist in internal and external quality audits.
• Participate in project meetings to provide updates on QA/QC issues and status.
• Support commissioning activities and final project handover.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in electrical works within construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in reviewing electrical shop drawings, ITPs, and material submittals.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, Electrical QA/QC Inspector) is an advantage.
