We are seeking a qualified QA/QC Engineer with proven experience in accredited geotechnical and construction materials testing laboratories. The candidate shall be responsible for maintaining and improving the laboratory Quality Management System in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and ensuring successful ENAS and EIAC accreditation audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and improve the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Coordinate and manage ENAS, EIAC, and other accreditation audits, assessments, and surveillance visits.
- Prepare, review, and control quality documents including procedures, work instructions, quality manuals, and technical records.
- Conduct internal audits, proficiency testing, inter-laboratory comparisons, and management reviews.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
- Verify testing procedures, calibration records, method validations, and measurement uncertainty calculations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ASTM, BS, AASHTO, and international testing standards.
- Provide quality-related training and guidance to laboratory personnel.
- Liaise with accreditation bodies, clients, and regulatory authorities on quality matters.
- Monitor laboratory performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in an accredited Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing Laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with ENAS and EIAC accreditation audits.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and laboratory quality systems.
- Familiarity with geotechnical, soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and construction material testing.
- Excellent documentation, auditing, and communication skills.
