Position: QA/QC Engineer – MEP
Experience:
- Total: 5–9 years
- UAE: 3–6 years (minimum 3 years with a Principal Consultant or Main Contractor/Developer — mandatory)
Qualifications:
- Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Dubai Municipality & DEWA certifications (preferred)
- QA/QC or Quality Management certifications (added advantage)
Role Overview
The QA/QC Engineer – MEP ensures all MEP works are executed and handed over in line with approved designs, specifications, contract requirements, and authority regulations. This role requires solid technical expertise, strong document control, and effective coordination with all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project execution and handover comply with drawings, specifications, QA/QC procedures, HSE standards, and authority guidelines.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material/technical submittals, and method statements.
- Oversee and coordinate inspections and testing for site works, materials, factory visits, and third-party verifications.
- Review and respond to RFIs, CVIs, and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor project schedules, including baseline, construction, and look-ahead programs.
- Lead weekly technical and progress meetings; prepare and distribute minutes of meetings (MOMs).
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress and timely handover.
- Identify and document non-conformities, issue observation notices, and follow up on corrective actions until full compliance is achieved.
