Job Title: QA/QC Engineer – Oil & Gas

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To ensure all project activities, materials, and deliverables comply with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements by implementing effective quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA):

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with ISO 9001 and project requirements.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and codes to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to establish quality objectives and inspection criteria.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits by clients and certification bodies.
• Identify non-conformities, propose corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely closure.

Quality Control (QC):

• Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control procedures.
• Monitor and verify materials, fabrication, welding, NDT, coating, and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Conduct inspections for mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation works as applicable.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors for material inspection and testing.
• Maintain calibration records of testing equipment and tools.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain quality documentation including Material Test Certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, and quality records.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to management and clients.
• Ensure proper filing of all QA/QC documentation for project handover and final dossier submission.

HSE & Compliance:

• Adhere to company HSE policies and promote a culture of safety and quality.
• Ensure compliance with international codes/standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, ASTM, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years of QA/QC experience in the Oil & Gas / EPC / Petrochemical industry..

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of QA/QC standards and codes (ASME, API, ISO).
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
• Leadership and teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role with frequent inspections in fabrication yards, offshore/onshore facilities, or construction sites.
• May require extended working hours depending on project deadlines.
