Responsibility
- Conduct routine inspections on-site to verify that work complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist in preparing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Perform material inspections upon delivery to ensure compliance with approved samples.
- Conduct inspections of concrete works, steel reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, etc.
- Coordinate with site engineers and foremen for inspection schedules.
- Record and document all inspection activities and maintain logs.
- Raise inspection requests (IRs) and conduct joint inspections with consultants/clients.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities and issue site observations or non-conformance reports (NCRs) as needed.
- Ensure rework and corrective actions are completed before proceeding with the next activity.
- Assist in the preparation of material submittals and test reports.
- Verify that construction methods follow QCS and international standards (BS, ASTM, ACI).
- Maintain and update quality checklists and inspection tracking sheets.
- Coordinate with third-party testing labs for sampling and test verification.
- Attend toolbox talks and safety briefings as part of HSE compliance.
- Conduct final inspections for completed activities and handover readiness.
- Assist QA/QC Engineer in preparing QA/QC documentation and reports.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials on-site.
- Participate in quality audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Report daily inspection status and quality issues to the QA/QC Engineer.
- Promote quality awareness among site personnel and ensure compliance with the project quality plan.
Qualification
- BSc in Engineering
- Experience: Min.5 years.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification or equivalent
