QA/QC Engineer – MEP (Ashghal Projects)

We are looking for a qualified and experienced QA/QC Engineer – MEP to join our team for infrastructure and building projects in Qatar, in compliance with Ashghal standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
• Ensure all works comply with:
• Project specifications and contract requirements
• Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS)
• Approved shop drawings and material submittals
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for:
• HVAC Systems (AHU, FCU, ducting, chilled water piping)
• Electrical Systems (cabling, panels, earthing, lighting)
• Plumbing & Drainage Systems
• Fire Fighting Systems (sprinkler, hydrant, pumps)
• Fire Alarm Systems (detection, panels, devices)
• ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, BMS)
• Prepare and submit:
• Inspection Requests (IRs)
• Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)
• RFIs and QA/QC reports
• Coordinate inspections with Consultant and Client (Ashghal).
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, logs, and test records.
• Ensure all materials are approved prior to installation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in MEP QA/QC
• Mandatory experience in Ashghal projects
• Strong knowledge of:
• QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications)
• MEP systems including Fire & ELV

Certifications (Preferred)

• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
• UPDA/MMUP Certification
• Familiarity with standards such as:
• ASHRAE (HVAC)
• NFPA (Fire Protection)
• IEC (Electrical & ELV)
