Job Title: QC Inspector (Concrete Works)

Job Summary
The QC Inspector will be responsible for conducting quality inspections for concrete works, including pre-pour, during pour, and post-pour inspections, ensuring that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Pour Inspection
- Conduct pre-pour inspections for concrete works such as foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and walls.
- Inspect formwork alignment, dimensions, and structural stability before concrete placement.
- Verify reinforcement size, spacing, and placement according to approved structural drawings.
- Ensure cover blocks and required concrete cover are properly maintained.
- Check embedded items, sleeves, conduits, and inserts before pouring.
- Confirm formwork is clean and free from debris or standing water.
- Review and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIR) for consultant/client approval prior to concrete pouring.
During Concrete Pour
- Monitor concrete delivery and placement activities on site.
- Witness slump tests and temperature checks to ensure concrete meets project specifications.
- Ensure proper compaction and vibration of concrete.
- Witness concrete cube sampling for compressive strength testing.
- Ensure concrete is placed according to the approved method statement.
Post-Pour Inspection
- Inspect finished concrete surfaces for defects such as cracks, honeycombing, or surface irregularities.
- Ensure proper curing methods are applied as per project specifications.
- Record and monitor concrete cube test results.
- Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with QC Engineer, site team, and consultants to address non-conformities.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as QA/QC Inspector in UAE construction projects.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of concrete inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation.
- Familiarity with ITP, WIR, MIR, and NCR processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of ISO quality standards is an advantage.
