QA/QC Inspector- Steel

• Conduct inspections of structural steel works (fabrication & erection) to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures for steel structures.
• Supervise and inspect welding activities in accordance with approved WPS, welding standards, and safety regulations.
• Review material certificates, mill test reports, and ensure traceability of steel materials.
• Identify non-conformances (NCRs), recommend corrective/preventive actions, and follow up on close-out.
• Monitor site activities including fit-up, alignment, bolt tightening, and surface preparation/painting works.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, test reports, and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and site supervisors to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports highlighting inspections, findings, and compliance status.
• Participate in risk assessments and ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in QA/QC inspection of structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel standards, welding procedures, and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (AWS, ISO, etc.).
• Excellent documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams.
