Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Foreman – Steel & Shuttering with 10+ years of GCC construction experience to supervise reinforcement and formwork activities on large-scale building projects. The candidate will ensure that all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, while leading teams of steel fixers, carpenters, and helpers to achieve timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all steel reinforcement and shuttering/formwork activities for slabs, beams, columns, walls, and foundations.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and formwork layouts.
- Ensure proper placement, alignment, tying, and fixing of reinforcement steel.
- Supervise formwork installation, shoring, props, and support systems to guarantee stability and safety.
- Monitor concrete pouring, compaction, and curing processes to ensure structural quality.
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works for compliance with project specifications.
- Lead, allocate, and manage teams of steel fixers, shuttering carpenters, and site helpers.
- Maintain daily progress reports and coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site.
- Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to prevent project delays
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in steel reinforcement and shuttering works.
- Minimum 5–7 years experience in GCC construction projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete technology, structural drawings, and bar bending schedules.
- Proven leadership and manpower management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
