We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Mechanical & Piping Engineer with strong Oil & Gas project experience to join our team for a 4-month contract in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical and piping activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC inspections for mechanical and piping works at site.
- Review and implement Quality Control procedures, ITPs, method statements, and inspection checklists.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards.
- Conduct inspections for fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, flushing, and mechanical completion activities.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.
- Prepare QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, and test records.
- Monitor welding activities and ensure WPS/PQR/WQT compliance.
- Verify material traceability and review material certificates.
- Participate in internal audits and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all activities comply with HSE and project quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping and mechanical inspection standards.
- Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO standards.
- Experience in shutdown/maintenance/project environments is preferred.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to join immediately is preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- CSWIP / BGAS / NACE (preferred)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (preferred)
Employment Details
- Contract Duration: 4 Months
- Working Schedule: 10 Hours/Day, 6 Days/Week
- Salary Range: QAR 8,000 – 10,000
- FAT Provided
Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
