Job Summary
The QC Civil Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards. The role involves inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with site teams to maintain construction quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Inspect civil works such as concrete, reinforcement, formwork, earthworks, masonry, and finishing
- Ensure materials used at site comply with approved standards and test results
- Conduct and monitor field and laboratory tests (concrete slump, cube tests, soil compaction, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate with consultants/clients
- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain quality records, test reports, and as-built documentation
- Coordinate with construction, procurement, and planning teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, project QA/QC procedures, and local codes
- Support audits and quality meetings
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in QC/QA for civil construction projects (Villas & Apartments, infrastructure, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing standards, and codes
- Familiarity with ASTM, BS, ACI, IS, or local standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Good documentation and reporting skills
