Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection of civil works including excavation, backfilling, formwork, rebar installation, concrete works, blockwork, and finishing activities.
- Verify that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and international standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.).
- Conduct inspections for materials delivered to site and review relevant test certificates and documentation.
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) / Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to the consultant and coordinate site inspections.
- Monitor concrete tests (slump test, cube samples) and soil tests (FDT, compaction, PLT) as required.
- Identify and report non-conformities (NCR) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain detailed QC reports, records, and documentation as per company procedures.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years experience in civil quality control or construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, basic AutoCAD is a plus).
Preferred Certifications
- QA/QC Civil Certificate
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
- OSHA / NEBOSH (added advantage)
