- Perform in-process and final inspections for structural steel, piping, plates, and metal fabrication work.
- Verify material identification, heat numbers, and traceability records as per MTCs (Material Test Certificates).
- Inspect fit-up, dimensional accuracy, alignment, and fabrication tolerances.
- Monitor and inspect welding activities (WPS, PQR, Welder Qualifications).
- Perform visual welding inspection (VT) and coordinate NDT testing such as RT, UT, MT, PT.
- Conduct surface preparation and painting inspection, including dry film thickness (DFT).
- Check compliance against drawings, specifications, codes, and quality procedures.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Procedures.
- Complete Inspection Reports, Fit-up Reports, Welding Logs, NCRs, and CARs.
- Review WPS, WPQR, and Welder Qualification certificates.
- Track and maintain calibration records of measuring and inspection instruments.
- Coordinate with production, welding, and fabrication teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
- Interface with client inspectors, third-party inspectors (TPI), and consultants for inspections and approvals.
- Attend internal and client quality meetings.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Monitor adherence to industry codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, AISC, and project specifications.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
