JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are hiring a Civil QC (Quality Control) Engineer ensures construction projects meet approved drawings, technical specifications, and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, IS) by inspecting materials and site work.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct site inspections for earthworks, rebar, formwork, and concrete pouring. Perform routine tests, including slump tests, concrete cube sampling, and soil compaction tests.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed daily inspection reports (DIR), inspection request (IR) trackers, and material test records.
- Compliance & Standards: Review and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Project Quality Plans (PQP).
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify quality deviations, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
- Material Approval: Verify the quality of incoming materials (cement, steel, finishing materials) and ensure proper storage.
- Coordination: Act as the liaison between site engineers, contractors, and client consultants to secure approvals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience of 2-5 Years in civil construction projects, particularly in inspection and quality management.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of civil construction practices, relevant standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and AutoCAD.
- Certification: Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is highly desirable.
