- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems (including wiring, panels, transformers, lighting, grounding, cable trays, and conduits) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Verify proper installation and function of electrical systems, including fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and critical power systems.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to local regulations (DEWA), international electrical codes, and the project’s specific requirements.
- Perform insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, and high-voltage testing to confirm the integrity of installations.
- Oversee functional testing and commissioning of electrical panels, transformers, UPS units, and other electrical equipment.
- Ensure proper calibration and operation of all electrical components before they are energized.
- Prepare and review Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals to ensure they are in line with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed inspection logs, testing reports, and records of non-conformance reports (NCRs) for reference and auditing purposes.
- Generate and review quality control reports and provide feedback to the site management team regarding the status of electrical work.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities for site inspections and approval processes.
- Participate in regular project meetings to report on electrical quality status, address potential issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Act as a liaison between the project team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure electrical installations are safe and meet compliance requirements.
- Monitor and enforce the proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during electrical maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure that all electrical installations are fully functional and meet project requirements for final handover.
- Assist in the preparation of final handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and compliance certificates.
- Ensure the completion of all punch list items and resolve any quality-related issues prior to project handover.
