QC Fabricator – Roles and Responsibilities
1. Inspection and Quality Control
- Inspect raw materials, fabricated parts, and finished products to ensure they meet required engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
- Perform dimensional checks using measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or deviations during the fabrication process.
- Ensure welding quality, fit-up, and alignment are within standards before final approval.
2. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, test records, and quality checklists.
- Prepare and submit Quality Control Reports (QCR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when needed.
- Ensure all fabrication and inspection records are properly filed for traceability.
3. Process Monitoring
- Monitor fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, and assembly.
- Verify that all fabrication procedures follow approved Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
- Support production teams by providing technical feedback on quality issues.
4. Standards and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ISO, AWS, etc.).
- Check materials and consumables have valid certificates (MTCs, WPS, PQR) before use.
- Ensure that all work adheres to client specifications and company quality policies.
5. Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, welders, and fabricators to maintain consistent quality.
- Participate in client and third-party inspections when required.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality problems.
- Support training of fabrication teams on quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs in the fabrication process.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings and welding procedures
- Skilled in inspection tools and techniques
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
