QC Final Inspector

Overview: ANCO is a family owned and operated metal fabrication company located in Shelton, CT. ANCO has an immediate opening for a QC Final Inspector in support of our Quality Control Department. The right individual to fill this role will be highly energetic with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description: This is a full-time day position responsible for final inspection of our fabricated parts which includes, but is not limited to: Paint and Powder Coating, Product Assembly, Test, etc.

Position Responsibilities

Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment providing detail oriented part and product inspections.
Support various inspections and product configuration verifications based upon detailed drawings and various associated inspection documents.
Generate detail oriented QDR (Quality Discrepancy Reports) for all non-conforming products.
Work with all manufacturing and production departments to clearly and precisely define non-conformance issues.
Perform and support all quality related activities as assigned.

Position Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in a final inspection role, preferably within a metal fabrication environment.
Working knowledge of paint and powder coating inspections.
Working knowledge of product assembly inspections.
Ability to read and interpret multi-page drawings and associated assembly documents.
Working knowledge of CMM inspection and programming a plus.
Working knowledge of weld inspections and current Weld Inspector Certification a plus.
