QC Inspector (Piping & Welding)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for welding/piping/structural inspection according with approved ITP
  • Responsible for Monitoring Project Quality KPI’s & objectives.
  • Responsible for Piping/Structure welding Inspections & reporting.
  • Welding Inspection-Pre-Welding, During welding & after welding stages on Inspection.
  • Witnessing PQR Welding, Mechanical tests & Documentation etc.
  • Qualification of Welders and monitoring their performance.
  • Piping Inspection. Installation in accordance with ASME B31.3. Support installation verification and final testing (pneumatic, hydro & diesel)
  • Coordinating the inspection with Project team with the supervisors and foreman.
  • Carrying out material inspections such as Welding, Painting, Piping, Structural etc.
  • Inspecting and coordinating the piping Fabrication/Erection activities along with fit up inspections and documentation.
  • Preparation of RLM drawing according to the site condition.
  • Conduct line walkdown and generate punch items according to project requirements.
  • Witnessing the pressure test like Pneumatic testing and Hydro test as per requirements.
  • Ensure dryness of piping system by using dew point meter.
  • Witness Valve Test according to the procedure.
  • Conduct reinstatement walkdown with client and generate punch items according to project requirements.
  • Responsible for raising daily observation & Non-Conformance Reports
  • Any other QA/QC Responsibilities assigned as per Project Quality requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree / Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years and above’ experience with recorded details
  • CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector or equivalent as Minimum.
  • ASNT Level II - MPT, PT, RT & UT.
