QC Inspector – Welding (CSWIP 3.1) | Oil & Gas

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas service provider, is currently seeking an experienced QC Inspector – Welding for an Oil & Gas project. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in welding inspection activities and ensure strict compliance with international quality and safety standards. A valid CSWIP Welding Inspector certification (3.1 or equivalent) is mandatory. This is a short-term, extendable contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect welding activities in accordance with approved WPS, PQR, ITPs, and project specifications
• Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with international welding codes and standards
• Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, and welding parameters
• Perform visual inspection of welds and monitor fit-up, joint preparation, and welding sequences
• Witness and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) as per project requirements
• Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Review and maintain welding inspection reports and quality documentation
• Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and QA/QC personnel to resolve welding quality issues
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with HSE requirements at site

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a QC Inspector – Welding in Oil & Gas projects
• Valid CSWIP Welding Inspector certification (3.1 or equivalent) – mandatory
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with international welding standards and codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, welding symbols, and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently under site conditions
