Fourth Dimension Group is a subcontractor supporting major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar and UAE. Our scope includes mechanical and piping construction works such as fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning, and site execution coordination with the main contractor.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced QC Lead – Mechanical & Piping to oversee and manage all quality control activities within our subcontract scope for major Oil & Gas projects.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the QA/QC team, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements throughout fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning phases.

Project Scope

Mechanical and piping construction works for Oil & Gas projects, including fabrication, installation/erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning activities, and overall site execution supervision in coordination with the main contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the QC team for mechanical & piping works
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and quality procedures
• Monitor piping fabrication, fit-up, welding, NDT, and hydrotesting activities
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.1 / B31.3 and project standards
• Coordinate with client inspectors and main contractor QA/QC teams
• Review WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and material test certificates (MTC)
• Oversee inspection reports, NCR management, and corrective actions
• Participate in punch list clearance and mechanical completion
• Ensure proper documentation and final dossier preparation

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 12+ years Oil & Gas experience
• Minimum 7+ years GCC experience
• Strong background in mechanical & piping QC activities
• Knowledge of ASME, API, and relevant international standards
• Experience in refinery, LNG, petrochemical, or pipeline projects
• Strong leadership and documentation skills

Preferred

• CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, AWS, or ASNT Level II certification
• Immediate availability
