Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Testing Manager with 10+ years of expertise in transformer testing to lead and manage all testing activities for power and distribution transformers. The role involves overseeing routine, type, and special tests, ensuring compliance with international standards, managing testing teams, and coordinating with customers and certification bodies.

Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Technical Leadership

• Plan, manage, and oversee routine, type, and special tests for power and distribution transformers
• Ensure testing is performed as per IEC / IS / IEEE / ANSI standards
• Review and approve all test procedures, test reports, and documentation
• Handle high-voltage testing, induced voltage tests, temperature rise tests, and impulse tests (if applicable)
• Analyze test results, identify deviations, and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions

Team & Department Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the testing engineers and technicians
• Allocate resources, testing schedules, and manpower efficiently
• Ensure skill development and training for testing staff
• Maintain discipline and safety culture in the testing area

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, safety, and statutory requirements
• Coordinate customer inspections, third-party inspections, and certification audits
• Support internal and external quality audits
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams
• Support new product development and prototype testing
• Participate in failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transformer testing (power & distribution)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Transformer design and construction
• Electrical and HV testing methods
• Transformer standards and customer specifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
