Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking an experienced QC Mechanical – Commissioning Engineer with strong expertise in inspection, testing, and validation of mechanical systems during commissioning phases. The role requires ensuring all piping, static and rotating equipment, and associated systems comply with project specifications, codes, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will oversee inspections, witness mechanical tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure safe, timely, and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform quality inspections and verification of mechanical systems during commissioning activities.

Review and interpret commissioning procedures, specifications, and mechanical drawings.

Ensure that all mechanical works, including piping, static and rotating equipment, and associated systems, comply with project standards and codes.

Witness and validate mechanical testing such as pressure tests, leak tests, flushing, and functional checks.

Monitor and document punch list clearance for commissioning readiness.

Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to resolve mechanical quality issues.

Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, test reports, and handover dossiers.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures during commissioning activities.

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of experience in QC Mechanical roles within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.

Proven experience in commissioning projects, particularly in mechanical systems.

Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).

Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and commissioning practices.

Familiarity with inspection and testing requirements for piping, equipment, and mechanical systems.
