Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of welded joints using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing.
  • Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications.
  • Monitor welding parameters (voltage, current, travel speed, preheat/interpass temperatures) and ensure adherence to approved standards.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare inspection reports and certificates.
  • Identify welding defects and recommend corrective actions, issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to integrate quality control measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification such as CSWIP 3.2, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a welding inspector, preferably in the oil and gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • Advanced knowledge of welding techniques (TIG, MIG, arc, etc.) and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, ISO 3834, etc.)

This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and safety of welded structures across various industries, especially in construction, oil and gas, and manufacturing.

Pay: Up to ﷼38.00 per hour
