The QHSE Coordinator provides direct support to the QHSE Manager and QHSE Supervisor in implementing, monitoring, and continually improving the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System across all facility operations. The role ensures that day-to-day activities comply with corporate standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities include supporting risk assessments, facilitating incident reporting and investigations, maintaining documentation, coordinating audits and inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture among field and workshop teams. The coordinator also assists in ensuring operational alignment with recognized standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, while supporting safe execution of service activities in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience
- Associate degree plus. 3+years of experience in a safety related position. Must be computer literate, have ability to analyze and report to management, and able to multi-task.
- Language Skills
- Fluent in English / Arabic Ability to read and write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute percentages.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Provide general support to all functions of the HSE Department to ensure smooth and effective operations.
- Coordinate with the HSE Analyst to prepare and distribute Safety Bulletins, Alerts, and Lessons Learned, and follow up on acknowledgments and closure.
- Assist in planning and conducting internal and external audits, including preparation for opening and closing meetings with auditors.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the overall efficiency of the HSE Department.
- Assist the Service Quality Team with logistical arrangements for visits, audits, and inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date evacuation plans, drill schedules, procedures, and documentation for base, yard, and workshop facilities.
- Monitor and evaluate emergency preparedness through regular, well-documented emergency drills.
- Oversee the implementation of critical safety systems, including the Permit to Work System, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Hazard Communication
- Coordinate and participate in regular HSE meetings within the base, yard, and workshop.
- Ensure that LEMS inspections are conducted in alignment with Nabors’ policies and requirements.
- Conduct life-saving equipment inspection.
- Leads the implementation of facilities HSE programs, including HSE guidelines and standards to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses, environmental impacts and financial losses.
- Conduct and direct job safety analysis/hazard assessment to identify HSE risks.
- Partners with facility and company leadership to create and implement improvement plans
- Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate QHSE standards.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirement.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Supports QHSE Manager to ensure all regulatory reporting requirements, permitting processes, and responses to regulatory activities, inspections and citations are up to date.
- Ensures all required environmental air, water, waste, stormwater activities are scheduled, completed, and properly documented and reported.
- Conduct and assist with the incident investigation processes, including Root cause analysis, corrective action planning and tracking corrective actions.
- Provides visible and active leadership in delivering Health and Safety meeting and audits.
- Tracks company’s environmental footprint and leads improvement initiatives.
- Administer, track, monitor the Occupational Health Programs for shops and field operations.
- Up to 50% travel to facilities within the operating area.
- Coaches and guides facility leadership to ensure HSE alignment and corporate goal requirements are met.
- Ensure tracking and follow- up / action items from safety meetings are completed.
- Ensure safety policies are in place and adhered to
- Responsible for safety induction training.
- Responsible for P.P.E compliance and distribution.
