ey Responsibilities:
- QHSE Management System:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QHSE management system in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Ensure the integration of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards into day-to-day operations.
- Review and update QHSE policies and procedures regularly to maintain compliance with local laws and international standards.
- Quality Control & Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure products and services meet both internal and external quality standards.
- Conduct quality audits, inspections, and assessments on-site and at suppliers to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead investigations into quality issues, product defects, or non-conformance incidents, and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs).
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance practices, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Health & Safety Management:
- Implement and maintain health and safety programs that minimize risks to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of worksites, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to reduce or eliminate workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
- Lead emergency response drills, including fire, evacuation, and first aid procedures, ensuring the workforce is prepared for various emergency situations.
- Environmental Management:
- Develop and enforce environmental management procedures to minimize the organization’s environmental impact.
- Monitor and report on environmental metrics such as waste management, resource consumption, emissions, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure that all operations are compliant with environmental laws and regulations, including waste disposal, emissions control, and water use.
- Drive sustainability initiatives and promote energy-efficient practices across the organization.
- Coordinate environmental audits and assessments to identify and manage environmental risks.
- Training & Awareness:
- Design and deliver QHSE training programs for employees and contractors to raise awareness and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Ensure that staff are aware of emergency protocols, safe working practices, and environmental responsibilities.
- Conduct ongoing safety, quality, and environmental awareness sessions to maintain a strong culture of QHSE compliance across all levels of the organization.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of QHSE activities, including audits, inspections, incident reports, training programs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular QHSE performance reports to senior management, outlining key metrics, non-conformances, corrective actions, and progress toward QHSE goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents, near misses, injuries, and non-compliance issues to relevant authorities when necessary.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in QHSE performance and drive initiatives to enhance the company’s QHSE culture.
- Analyze trends and data from audits, inspections, and incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Promote a proactive approach to QHSE compliance through regular communication and engagement with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Ensure that all suppliers and contractors meet the company’s QHSE standards, conducting audits and reviews as necessary.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, safety, and environmental compliance, and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, etc.), Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in QHSE (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Additional training in safety management, environmental protection, or quality control is an advantage.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in QHSE management in a similar role, ideally in industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, or facilities management.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, health and safety management, and environmental compliance.
- Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to prepare reports, deliver training, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and QHSE management software.
