QHSE Engineer (Marine)

1. Enforce the QHSE policies on vessels.

2. Participate in the inspection of marine vessels to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.

3. Review regular reports from vessels on safety meetings to ensure company procedures are being adhered.

4. Handle matters related to compliance with QHSE requirements of various Regulatory Authorities.

5. Communicate with Clients and Regulatory Authorities on matters related to QHSE requirements and also guide the KFS team on such matters.

6. Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops and seminars; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

7. Ensure all accidents and incidents are recorded, reported and investigated as required and that corrective action is implemented accordingly.

8. Coordinate with technical and operation Dept. to resolve technical and operational problems related to QHSE.

9. Advice and assist personnel with regard to health, safety & environmental management matters for all field of activity performed on vessels.

10. Provides training, instruction and support to all personnel in QHSE issues.

11. Coordinate with clients and certification bodies in relation to QHSE or related requirements/standards.

12. Ensure that the documentation relating to QHSE Management is available and maintained in the Management System (ISO 14001, organization procedure, forms).

13. Maintain up to date and share a set of procedures, work instructions, induction presentations as necessary to promote common practices.

14. Maintain the Projects Quality Management Discipline Action Plan. Communicate regularly on its progress.

15. Issuing safety flashes and safety memos.

• B-Tech or Postgraduate in Marine or Mechanical Engg.
• Prior 3-4 years’ experience in similar position, preferably in Marine background
• Must Certified in ISO 9001:2008, NEBOSH and knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, STCW is desired
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, management and presentation skills
• Excellent communication skill in English (written & spoken)
• Well versed with MS Office
• Immediate Joiners and on Visit Visa are preferred
