ACTS Qatar is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager with the following qualifications and expertise

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Oversee and maintain the laboratory’s quality management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, manage external assessments, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Develop and monitor quality performance indicators and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, calibration, and verification of laboratory equipment and processes.

Health & Safety Management

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure safe laboratory practices, including chemical handling, waste management, and use of PPE.
  • Deliver training programs on laboratory safety, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Environmental Management

  • Oversee proper disposal and management of hazardous and non-hazardous laboratory waste.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Promote resource efficiency (energy, water, and chemical use) within the lab.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead QHSE awareness initiatives and provide guidance to laboratory staff.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, accreditation bodies, and clients on QHSE matters.
  • Prepare and present QHSE performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in QHSE, with at least 3 years in a laboratory environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Certified Lead Auditor in one or more management systems (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols, chemical handling, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and influence staff at all levels.
  • With a valid QID and should be ready to transfer sponsorship
