QHSE Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to lead the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards, process improvement, auditing, and manufacturing quality control. The QHSE Manager will supervise the HSE Engineer and the Quality Inspection team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internal standards. The focus of this role is to manage the Quality Management System (QMS), drive continuous improvement, and uphold quality and safety excellence across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. QMS Compliance and Standards Implementation:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001.
• Develop, review, and update quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare the company for external audits from customers and certification bodies.
• Ensure compliance with aviation customer requirements, project specifications, product quality standards, and oversee Pre-FAT inspections and snag list resolution.
• Analyze audit results, identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely closure.

2. Quality Control & Assurance Management:

• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including Pre-FAT inspections based on CDR requirements to verify all functions and features of aviation training simulators (Door Trainers, CEET, CST) prior to client FAT.
• Ensure proper implementation of inspection sheets, checklists, sampling plans, FAI requirements, and quality plans.
• Review and approve NCRs, CARs, and CAPAs, ensuring effective root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Ensure inspection tools and measuring equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
• Coordinate with customers on quality issues, inspections, acceptance processes, and documentation requirements.

3. Oversight of HSE Management (Executed by HSE Engineer):

• Provide leadership, direction, and approval for HSE activities executed by the HSE Engineer.
• Review and approve HSE policies, procedures, EMS/OHSMS documentation, and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 programs, including environmental KPIs and RAKEZ compliance activities handled by the HSE Engineer.
• Review incident investigations, safety audits, aspect–impact assessments, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Support the HSE Engineer during authority inspections, RAKEZ visits, Civil Defense audits, and escalated safety/environmental issues.

4. Documentation Control & Compliance Management:

• Oversee the accuracy and control of QMS-related documents including SOPs, quality plans, inspection forms, NCR/CAPA records, and audit reports.
• Ensure all QMS and HSE records are maintained in compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
• Lead Management Review Meetings and prepare QHSE performance reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with RAKEZ regulations, aviation customer requirements, and international standards.

5. Team Leadership and Training:

• Supervise the Quality Inspectors and HSE Engineer, ensuring effective execution of their daily responsibilities.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations for QHSE team members.
• Conduct QMS training sessions to improve employee knowledge of quality standards and processes.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QHSE roles within manufacturing, aviation, composites, automotive or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and auditing practices.
• Experience with composite manufacturing processes (vacuum bagging, lamination, moulding, machining) is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
