The position is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System in the company. The position is responsible to train and create employee awareness to implement safe working methodologies and behavioral practices at all levels in the organization, including to conduct frequent site inspections and audits of employees and equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement and improve QHSE management systems, processes and
procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO and other required standards.
2. Communicates information on the QHSE Management System throughout the
organization and promotes HSE awareness through various communication channels, in consultation with the relevant departments.
3. Organize and provide Tool Box Talks (TBT’s) in camps and in offices, as advised
4. To provide induction to new employees/ sub-contracted employees and conduct the required skill tests
5. Organize internal and external HSE training programs, in coordination with all concerned
departments; Also, do gap analysis and track certification expiries, incoordination with the HR Department
6. Prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects, as per the requirements and in consultation with the required departments.
7. Undertake QHSE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors), as per the approved inspection program of the company. Follows up on the preventive and / or
corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions, in coordination with concerned departments.
8. Develops, facilitate and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities, in consultation with concerned departments.
9. Record QHSE key performance indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly basis and prepare reports, as advised.
10. Organize and track Manager Site Visits (MSV’s), Supervisor Site Visits (SSV’s) and any other assigned initiatives by the department
11. Develop, implement and encourage ‘behavioral based’ safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and inspections.
12. Perform regular ‘walk throughs’ in the office, yard, camp and on company vehicles and equipment, to monitor and promote a safe workplace.
13. To do HSE accident/ incident investigations and prepare required reports.
14. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain excellent safety record.
15. Ensure that equipment’s and tools are in good working condition and are certified /calibrated as applicable.
16. To maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning, by
attending educational workshop, training and e-learning programs, by reviewing professional publications and by benchmarking best practices
17. To Prepare the required monthly and /or any other MIS report, as assigned by your reporting manager
18. Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE and company policies and procedures, UAE laws and applicable regulations
19. To work ethically and to report any violations and acts that may affect the health, safety, environment, ethics and company reputation
20. To Perform any other task, as assigned from time to time by the company, based on business requirement.
