The QHSSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental management systems in alignment with Crane Worldwide Logistics’ global standards and local regulatory requirements. The role ensures operational excellence through risk mitigation, compliance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives across all business functions.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management

  • Implement and maintain ISO standards and Quality Management system.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure process compliance and identify improvement areas.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support corrective and preventive actions.

Health & Safety

  • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and safety inspections.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and employee engagement.

Security

  • Ensure site security in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and security vendors for compliance and incident response.
  • Conduct security threat assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Environment

  • Ensure compliance with local environmental laws and Crane’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor and report environmental performance metrics (waste, emissions, energy usage, etc.).
  • Promote eco-friendly practices and continuous environmental improvements.

Training & Development

  • Plan and deliver QHSSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Foster awareness and accountability across teams for QHSSE responsibilities.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of audits, incidents, training, and inspections.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly QHSSE reports for management review.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–15 years of experience in QHSSE roles within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry.
  • Minimum 3-5 years leadership experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant Indian safety and environmental regulations.
  • Strong experience in conducting internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • NEBOSH / IOSH Certification
  • Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001)
  • Fire & Industrial Safety Management certification (preferred)
