How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a QMS Auditor B you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. The QMS Auditor B is responsible for supporting Airlite’s quality and food safety processes by conducting audits and inspections across materials, production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. This role identifies and addresses quality issues, supports corrective actions, and helps prevent non-conforming product from reaching customers while reinforcing a strong quality culture.
Essential Duties:

Verify job setups to ensure alignment with production and quality specifications.

Collect product samples and perform routine inspections throughout the production process.

Conduct defect inspections and identify non-conforming products.
-
Measure and record key quality attributes, including opacity, diameter, and gram weight.

Perform audits of blending processes and raw materials to ensure compliance with standards.

Audit printed products for accuracy and quality consistency.
-
Trace and backtrack non-conforming product across production stations, warehouse inventory, and outbound shipments.

Complete HACCP investigations and documentation, including required sign-offs.

Communicate quality issues across departments and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.

Actively support and promote SQF food safety and quality culture.

Serve as a positive role model on the production floor.

Educate and support supervisors, operators, and packers on quality standards and expectations.

Provide cross-shift support and assist in other functional areas as needed.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
- Or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet; when visiting the production floor the noise level may be loud.
