QS Engineer (Quantity Surveyor)

We’re Hiring!

Maklad Design is seeking a QS Engineer to join our interior and fit-out project team in Dubai. If you have 3–5 years UAE experience in quantity surveying for interior or fit-out projects, with strong skills in BOQ preparation, cost control, and procurement — this role is for you!

About Your Team

You will report to the Manager and play a pivotal role within the Commercial Department, managing cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting across a range of high-profile projects. You will work collaboratively with assistant quantity surveyors, project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure the financial success and contractual compliance of each project from inception to completion.

Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing contracts, insurance, and guarantees
• Managing claims, variations, and project cost controls
• Reviewing subcontractor payments and supporting monthly reporting
• Handling cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and profitability analysis
• Supporting project close-out and mentoring junior QS staff

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for interior and fit-out projects
• Conduct cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for project execution
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and contractors to track project costs
• Monitor procurement, subcontractor costs, and material expenses
• Assist in contract preparation and review for suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years UAE experience in interior design and fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of cost control, BOQ preparation, and project documentation
• Familiarity with local standards, authority approvals, and procurement processes
