QS Estimation Engineer with prove work experience in UAE

A Quantity Surveyor (QS) engineer manages all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from initial estimates to final costs. Key responsibilities include preparing bills of quantities (BOQs), performing cost estimating and budgeting, administering contracts, controlling costs, and ensuring projects stay within budget while meeting quality and legal standards. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project's financial success. Key responsibilities

• Cost estimation and budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment; develop project budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenditures to prevent overruns.
• Contract administration: Draft tender documents, evaluate contractor bids, and help negotiate and manage contracts. Oversee compliance with contractual terms and handle variations.
• Financial control: Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, identify areas for cost savings, and implement value engineering to optimize budget use without sacrificing quality.
• Documentation and reporting: Prepare and issue tender documents and addenda, and create reports detailing costs and project progress for clients.
• Collaboration and communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to understand requirements, discuss project changes, and resolve commercial issues.
• Payment verification: Review and verify contractor payment applications and claims, ensuring they align with the work completed.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is often required.
• Experience: Previous experience in Fit-out & Concrete repair works in UAE is mandatory.
• Skills: Strong mathematical ability, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and excellent attention to detail are crucial.
• Technical knowledge: Familiarity with construction, building codes, and software for cost management is necessary.
